An elderly couple cried out for help as their son allegedly attacked them and set fire to their house, leading to their tragic deaths. Darius Hazard, 44, has been charged by the police with arson and two counts of murder in connection with the incident in North Adams, Massachusetts. The authorities reported that Hazard assaulted his parents, aged 76 and 83, during a distressing situation at home before setting the house ablaze and fleeing the scene.
Hazard allegedly confessed to hearing his parents’ desperate pleas for help after igniting the fire. Court documents revealed that he physically harmed his parents, rendering them helpless on the floor before starting the fire and driving away from the property. The North Adams Police Department stated that Hazard admitted to pouring gasoline inside the house and setting it on fire. He has pleaded not guilty to the arson charge.
