The event occurred around 4:30 pm today on the R617 road between Blarney and Tower in Ireland. The woman, in her 30s, and the infant were swiftly taken to a hospital in Cork. A Garda spokesperson stated, “Gardaí and emergency services responded to a report of a car accident involving two pedestrians, a woman in her 30s, and an infant boy, at Blarney, Co. Cork, this afternoon, Tuesday 21st October 2025, around 4:30 pm. Both pedestrians were taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. No further injuries were reported, and the scene was secured for investigation. The road has since been reopened. Gardaí are seeking witnesses, including those with dashcam or video recordings from the area.”
