Sean Dyche is optimistic that Ruben Amorim has taken his advice to heart and found a winning formula against Manchester United. The Red Devils are set to face Dyche’s Nottingham Forest this weekend on the back of a three-game winning streak.

A victory for United at the City Ground could potentially propel them into the Premier League top four, a significant achievement considering their challenging start to the season. This turnaround follows comments made by Dyche earlier this year, where he suggested a return to basics would lead to more wins at Old Trafford.

While Amorim initially stuck to his complex philosophy, Dyche now hints that the United manager may have adjusted his approach based on the advice given. Dyche praised the changes in United’s style, noting a quicker and more direct playing approach, tighter defensive structure, and improved overall management and coaching strategies.

Regarding United’s recent success, Dyche acknowledged the positive changes in their gameplay but emphasized the need for vigilance. Forest, on the other hand, have struggled in recent Premier League matches, losing four consecutive games and currently sitting in 18th place with only five points.

Despite Forest’s recent difficulties, there have been glimpses of promise under Dyche’s leadership, exemplified by a notable 2-0 victory against Porto in the Europa League. Following their clash with United, Forest will face Sturm Graz in European competition before taking on Leeds United in their next league fixture.
