Former Arsenal player Theo Walcott believes that the club missed out on signing Bryan Mbeumo years ago, a decision that has now benefited Manchester United. Mbeumo joined United from Brentford in a high-profile transfer worth £71 million, showcasing his talent with five goals in his first 10 matches for the Red Devils after scoring 20 goals in the previous Premier League season for Brentford. Walcott commended United for acquiring Mbeumo, emphasizing the player’s quality.

Having started his career with Brentford in the Championship at the age of 19, Mbeumo’s progress and experience in the top-flight have been remarkable, with the forward’s value increasing significantly from his initial £5.8 million transfer fee. Walcott, who also played for Everton and Southampton, suggested that Arsenal should have acted sooner to secure Mbeumo’s services. He praised United for signing the talented forward ahead of competition from Newcastle and Tottenham.

Speaking on “It’s Called Soccer,” Walcott expressed admiration for Mbeumo’s performance, stating that the player should have been part of Arsenal’s squad long ago. Additionally, Walcott highlighted the positive development of Mbeumo’s teammates under Ruben Amorim, with the squad beginning to grasp the tactical nuances of Amorim’s system.

Walcott elaborated on the tactical adjustments within the team, emphasizing the importance of players like Luke Shaw adapting to new roles to enhance team dynamics. He praised the cohesion within the squad and the effectiveness of Amorim’s tactical approach.

In a separate development, Sky has announced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the upcoming season, offering substantial savings and an extended range of live matches across various leagues, including at least 215 live Premier League games. Viewers can enjoy more football content through this package, providing greater access to live sports events.
